Extracts of “Se puede” (It’s possible)
Being handicapped I beg everyone who read these lines: Do not think that because we need a wheel-chair, or cannot speak properly either write, we handicapped people don’t perceive everything. We meditate more and analyze constantly, thus, our mind works even though our body doesn’t move. Please, we are people with the same wonderings and will to learn like any other person. It is essential for us not to feel a pariah. What we yearn is to be part of the society where we live in. Lend us a hand. We handicapped people don’t “feel happy”, instead we ARE HAPPY. We did not lose everything; instead we have found EVERYTHING, the only thing that can give meaning to our existence. |
