Praying Group |
-
Our praying
group started out from our desire of staying together after
many years of sharing History of Art, Political Economy and
many speaks on human formation.
It was then when we realize the
importance of praying, and the value of the Rosary, that is
why we decided to gather and pray together each Wednesday.
At the beginning we were very few, but later on we ended up
being a group of twenty friends approximately.
We called the praying group
“Our Lady of Lujan”, advised by our coordinator Monsignor
Puyelli. We gave our group that name, because She is
Argentina’s patroness.
Each Wednesday as we arrive,
tired by our daily life, we find a special atmosphere.
A joyful peace was transmitted
by Margarita’s welcoming smile. She knew how to transform
the adverse into joys: from her impeccable personal
appearance, the combination of colors and the details on the
decoration of her house…to never complaining about her
sufferings, pains and difficulties. She always had a hearing
and a given attitude, reflected on her profound joyful look.
We begin the rosary putting
ourselves in the presence of God and in the Hands of the
Virgin.
We apologize for our sins
praying the Act of Contrition. We pray for the intentions of
the Virgin, for the intentions of the Holy Father, and we
also pray for world’s peace. We prayed for our personal
intentions (that we all shared) as we also pray for the
different intentions that people transmit us.
We generally pray the Glorious
Mysteries, reading a brief meditation before each Mystery.
And we finish praying the
Angelus prayer, consecrating ourselves to Virgin Mary,
reciting short prayers asking for: marriages, for the health
of sick people, for the faith of youth people, for work, for
a good death, for vocations, concluding with our Fatherland
prayer.
When we pray we are conscious
of the Divine presence, because as Jesus said: “For where
two or three are come together in my name, there am I among
them”. And a clear evidence and testimony of His presence
are all the graces received thanks to our prayers.
As a praying group something
that has always marked us about Margarita was that in her
personal intentions she always gave “Thanks for life!”
A life that we consider very hard because of the limitations
of her disease; however we were impressed by her acceptance
with joy.
In everything we saw the love
and strength of her soul. Her constant abandonment to the
Divine will on her day to day life.
Her example lightened up our
own crosses…
Each and every one of us felt truly accepted and loved by
Margarita as we are, she accompanied each of us, in our path
to Jesus.
